Matt Damon is the new Captain Kirk?

Slashdot is reporting that Matt Damon will be the young Kirk in the upcoming StarTrek XI film. Shattner is not pleased...

    I think Matt would make a great young kirk, and love the video. So who is up for the other characters ?

    The rest of the crew is still a mystery, but slashdotters were suggesting Ben Afleck as Spock and Oprah Winfrey a Uhura...
